You should also make sure you have both wired & wirelss connections in the classroom.
We also explain the how the ExamSoft final exam process works from the student's perspective so they can assist the student if needed. During this training we explain what steps they should take to make sure the exam can start on time, the instructions we give to the students for their exam and basic troubleshooting steps. We also offer proctor training for the professors and anyone that will be assisting them for ExamSoft exams. If they do not download it by the third day, they must take the written exam. Their students have three days before their exam to download the exam file.
Our professors create and upload their own exam files and the deadline for them to upload them is one week before the exam is scheduled. Most of our students do not have problems uploading their answer file, but our staff can manually upload the file if needed. We have someone from our department in the classroom at the beginning and end of each ExamSoft exam to assist the students with any technical issues they may encounter while starting the exam or uploading their answer file. This allows us time to upload only the student information for those classes and also schedule Computer Services coverage to assist the professor with the exam. The professors also have a deadline approximately 1 month before the exams start to "register" to offer ExamSoft final exams to their students. Professors that have never offered ExamSoft exams at FCSL are required to attend one of the training sessions before they are allowed to use the ExamSoft applications. We have both our students and professors download the latest versions of the applications each semester.Įach semester, we have training for our professors on using SofTeach and SoftScore. We have almost 600 students using it for their exams and last semester we had over 40 classes that offered ExamSoft final exams. We have been using Flexsite for years and have very few problems.
